Dryer starts and stopped throughout drying cycle

    Model Number: DV350AEP
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello,

I have looked and done my research, I have gone through all fuses and safety switches in dryer. Everything checks out. The dryer will start in time mode and run and start and stop throughout cycle with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes dryer won't start at all. I'm at a loss wether it's the motor or the main board. Please help

It could be either one that could cause the dryer to act that way. When the dryer stops, can you still hear the motor humming like it is still trying to run and does the display on the dryer turn off?

Display stays on like the dryer is still running, and no humming. It will try to start back up and maybe 1/8 turn then shut off. This is repeated on and off through the whole cycle. It will run for x amount of time the off for x amount of time and so on. There's no rhyme or reason to how long on and off

I put dryer back together tonight, I power up dryer, set to time dry. Hit start button I hear relay fire or a click in main control board, dryer starts runs for 5 minutes shuts off. Hit pause then start here the click again and now nothing. No humming no nothing display is on and it thinks it's drying but no dice....

I would also check the belt break switch to make sure that is okay. If that is good, then you would have to do a voltage test to see if the control board is sending power to the motor. I PM'd you a link for the service sheet for your model dryer. This will have the information needed to make the voltage tests.

The belt switch checks out, ran through voltage tests a couple of times looks like motor was to blame.

Testing board to motor and heater I had no power across RY 5 and RY 6

I had no resistance for motor circuit.

Installed new motor this morning and nothing, I took it back apart and checked everything I did.

    I'm loosing it
