Woke up this morning to find the fridge at 64 (freezer was still at -4). I would like to try and check a few things out before calling a repair person. I took the small back panel off and couldn't really see much. The fan that I saw was running and quiet, and the compressor was warm, but not so hot I couldn't keep my hand on it.
I also took a look at the motherboard and didn't see any obviously fried components.
I was reading articles on the Internet and some said to check the coils, but for the life of me, I can't figure out how to get the back panel off. Then I came across a post here that said something about removing screws from INSIDE the fridge.
Can anyone provide some guidance on what I can check before having to shell out some big bucks to a repair shop? I shouldn't be having these problems when the unit isn't even two years old (bought in in June 2014).
*********** UPDATE ***************
The fridge is now down to 41 degrees. How the heck can that happen? It's hard to t-shoot a problem that currently isn't there, but does that give some indication of what might be starting to fail?
Thanks,
Andy
