Ge profile French Door fridge ice maker not working, not getting cold enough

We have a GE profile fridge from April, 2014. The ice maker has been reset and we put a thermometer in the compartment. The temp is 25 degrees. It fills with water but not getting cold enough to make ice. There are 2 vents in the fridge that blow cold air into the ice maker compartment. The top one isn't blowing cold air, the lower one is. Any ideas? Thanks for your help.

The two vents that blow the cold air from the return, one is usually cold air coming from the freezer and the other is a return air vent. The most common thing that we have seen is that one of the air passages gets clogged up with frost or ice. There is no way to access these air passages, so you will need to unplug the refrigerator and leave the doors open for 24-48 hours to let any frost or ice melt. Also, sometimes if the freezer isn't going through the automatic defrost cycle properly it can cause it to also block the air flow.
