Unhappy Machine won't kick into fast spin, leaving clothes wet.

    Model Number: MAVT634AWW
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 1-5 years

I changed out the Thrust Bearing which was bad, but spin is still too slow. Also, the shaft on the new pulley seems too long and may not let the cam work properly. I'm not sure if that would not let the machine go into fast spin. Thanks for any help.

See below. Does your thrust bearing fall between the minimum and maximum reference points?

Thanks for your reply, Ryan! The cam arrow lines up exactly with the low reference point. I'm not sure if the cam is restricted from turning to it's proper position due to fitting too tightly. It wouldn't turn at all when I put the thin washer on the shaft, so I left the washer off and just used the retaining ring, but it still feels tight. The pulley turns freely in either direction, however, I don't think the tub turns at all.

Do you think there may be something wrong with the brake?
