My Duet washer filled with water and ran over during the night. I ran spin to empty and then watched it. It started to fill again within a few hours. I figured it needed a new valve assembly.
Opened up the unit and removed valve. Hose inlets had a lot of sentiment (I'm guessing from a recent city waterline flush in our neighborhood).
Wanted to test valve to make sure it was the problem. Now it is closing and lot leaking. I cycled and it is working as designed.
Now I'm wondering if the setiment was the problem and it has flushed out. Question is, do I go ahead and replace valve since I have it opened up?
Thank you.
