The model number you provided is not coming up as a valid model number. The closest model number I am finding is FCM5DMCWH. Can you double check the model number for me please?

Thanks. Yes it could be the temperature control thermostat. If it acts up again try tapping on the thermostat to see if that causes it to turn back on. If it does then that is a good indication that the temperature control thermostat is bad. Unfortunately it looks like this part has been discontinued by the manufacture and is no longer available.

    Hi doc Ryan,

Thank you for reply my freezer post, you said the manufacture discontinue the part and could you recommend a reliable Compact Freezer that still have parts after more than 10 year old? I am a Costco member they have a 7.1 cu ft Danby freezer do you think its a good brand?

    Hi John,

I would say Frigidaire would probably be the best for a freezer with good part availability.
