KitchenAid turns off 10 min into cycle

10 minutes into any cycle it turns off, no lights on, soap door has opened, water has been pumped out.
Ran diagnostic: press any of 3 buttons in sequence, then repeat 2x: after beep saw "clean" light flash 6x, 4x.
I see two pcb's: one in the touch panel, the other mounted to ss door. May I assume p/n WPW10500172, includes both?
This unit has acted funny for some time: locking up and requiring disconnect/reconnect power to reset and run again; Sani-rinse light barely visible; a voice telling me I've won the lottery....

I see there was a serv.bulletin: W10398386 - Control was revised due to a cycle stopping issue (serial numbers F032 to F105),
Testing has determined that cycle stopping may result from a software error that can cause a false error code that
cancels the cycle. Techs will see a 6-1 error code recorded in service diagnostics.

Anyone know where I can get a "tech sheet"?

Update:
Following the instructions for error code 6-4:
Float moves freely, when up, switch loses continuity (it opens).
I assume F9 is good since pump empties the water during diag test.
When drain hose is disconnected from sink drain and filled with water, water does not drain back into dishwasher.
I doubt there is any debris clogging the emulsifier, as I rinse dishes thoroughly before loading.
Not sure how to check the fill valve.

The fill valve would just be checked to see if it allows the dishwasher to fill with water when the dishwasher is not calling for water. Any easy test would be to turn off power to the dishwasher and see if water continues to fill into the dishwasher. If it does then the water valve is bad and leaking.
