    [FIXED] Samsung Ice/Water Paddle replacement

    Model Number: RF32FMQDBSR
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

I replaced the ice maker a few months ago and the frig is making ice ok. Today the ice paddle broke , it's hanging by one tab. I am ordering a new unit, Samsung DA97-12628D. Its a combo Ice/water paddle. So far i have found one screw on the bottom right side. Any ideas on how this unit comes out?

    thanks,
    Rob

    Hi Ryan,
Well that worked! Thanks for the images, the tricky part was to pull down after freeing the side tabs of the panel. The Ice/Water paddle has now been replaced. I can't remember if the fridge has to sit for a certain amount of time (24 Hrs ?) after powering back on before the ice function works, because hitting the ice button inside is not chiming. Ice is now working !

Thanks for the update! I have updated the status of this thread to FIXED. The ice maker has to cool back down to around 10F before it will start to make ice again. If you let it cool down for 6-12 hours it should start making ice again.

I had a similar problem. I've have the replacement lever, but I can't for the life of me find the hole for the spring to anchor to. I know it should be by the hole the lever ends go into. Can you help?
