Whirlpool icemaker harns

I purchased a Whirlpool top freezer refrigerator a little over a year ago. Apparently it was a discontinued model. The refrigerator did not come with the icemaker but was icemaker ready. Through much looking I finally bought a icemaker part# WPW10715708. The icemaker was a exact fit except the wire harness that connected to the freezer. The current harns is part# W10309400. Can just the harns be replaced? I believe I found the correct one part# WPW10360140. Is this the right harns if only it can be replaced? Please help...

Did your refrigerator have a water valve already installed on it from the factory?

Yes, Everything already in place. Just had to buy the ice maker and plug it in. Which lies the problem. The plug on the ice make is not the same the female connection in the freezer. It appears I can buy a new Harness to fit the fridge and ice maker.

It sounds like the manufacture has the wrong ice maker kit part number listed for your model refrigerator. Can you send me the serial number from your refrigerator, and some pictures of the electrical plugs showing the differences so I can send it to the manufacture?
