06 Samsung with Quatro (not) cooling!

Dismantled and de-iced entire fridge/freezer, cleaned and checked drain system. Plugged in, display reads cold, but it is not cold inside the compartments. Freezer reads -2, but is only about 40*, fridge reads 38, but is closer to 50. No codes are displaying. Any idea's?

Are you sure the -2 and 38 aren't just what temperatures the freezer and fridge are set to? If both are warming up at the same time, I would check to see if the compressor is running and the condenser fan motor next to the compressor is running.

Yes the compressor and cooling fan are running, but they quit after a short time, then I have to reset and it will start again. The evaporator fans are all running.

Thank you. Still trying to diagnose this. NO one around here will work on a Samsung. Everyone I call just laughs and says no thanks. I am determined to find the problem regardless.

I will post when I find out something. I suspect a thermistor is defective but still checking.

I checked all the thermistor's, all are within range......... Under test mode, forced freeze, all the motors and fans are operating, however the evaporators are not getting cold. The tube just above the evaporators is icing, but it seems to stop there without traveling down to the evaporator.

That would indicate a sealed system problem like a leak in the sealed system. This type of repair would have to be completed by a professional and it can be an expensive repair.
