Kenmore (Samsung) Dryer runs a near complete cycle, then shuts off and won't restart.

    Model Number: 592-89057
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: 6-10 years

As the title states, I have a Kenmore (made in Korea) Dryer that will run a near complete cycle (we've tried timer, normal and delicate cycles), gets hot (like a sauna inside) then shuts down. It won't turn on again for about an hour. No codes are shown, just a little icon with a grid shape when we turn on the dryer that flashes a few times.

I've checked the vent (which is about a 4' run to outside) and it's clean. Lint screen is clean.. The dryer was manufactured in 2010.

    Any ideas?

The model number that you provided is not coming up for me. Can you please double check it and make sure to read it from the tag on the dryer. You might be missing the first three digits? Click here for common locations to locate the model and serial number tag on your dryer.
