Samsung front loader stutters during cycle and drum won't turn, no error code given

    Model Number: WF220ANW/XAA01
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 6-10 years

I have a front loading washing machine. During a cycle, the drum will try and turn but stutters and makes a noise. When power is off, the drum turns easily. I am not getting an error message at all. I don't want to pay an arm and a leg and trying to figure it out!

This type of problem can be caused by a bad hall sensor, stator, rotor, or main control board. Below is a link to the service sheet for your model washer. In the service sheet there is some information on how to test the hall sensor and check the motor. Let us know what you find.
