I pulled out my dryer to clean behind, lots of lint, now getting HE error

    Model Number: DV42H5000EW/A3
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hello,
no problems until i pulled out the dryer to clean a lint behind it, pushed it back, turned it on and about 10 minutes, it shuts off and displays HE. I had husband make sure the wall vent wasn't plugged (he pulled a little lent out, but seemed to be clear). turned it back on, same thing, but the dryer is HOT to the touch on top and bottom right side. Not sure what i triggered or damaged just by pulling out and cleaning, i used a swiffer to clean behind it. Any ideas what it could be? Please let me know. THANK YOU

HE means invalid heating temp in the dyer. It can be caused by a restricted venting system, bad thermistor, or bad main control board. Since all you did was pull the dryer out to clean I would check the venting system closely. Try running the dryer and going outside to feel the airflow out of the vent on the outside of the house to make sure the airflow is good. You could also run the dryer with the vent disconnected for a few minutes to see if it works properly without the vent connected. Let us know what you find.
