Hello, and Merry Christmas.
I'm hoping you can help me with a problem.
I have a Southbend SLGB/22SC convection oven with the following symptoms when turned on, in sequential order:
- The circulating fan starts and stays on
- The "Heat On" light comes on for a few seconds
- The "Heat On" light turns off, as well as the burner
- (relays?) can be heard clicking inside the oven, and "Heat On" light flashes on and off in time with the clicks
- The internal fan continues to run, but the heat light turns off, and the oven does not heat up.
- The unit remains in this state indefinitely.
When the on/off switch is cycled, the symptoms repeat.
The odd time, the oven does heat up correctly, but once it reaches the set temperature, it reverts back to the above symptom list.
With this in mind, I suspect it may be a periodically-faulty over-temp limit switch?
Or, Possibly a control board or relay issue?
Honestly I don't know.
I have checked the owner's manual, but to no avail.
If you could let me know what parts I need to replace, or other tests you need me to perform, I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, if you know if a service manual exists for this oven, that may be of some help.
