Can you help me repair my in door Ice Maker for my Samsung RSG257AARSXAA side by side door refrigerator?
About two months ago I had to replace the Ice trap door, it went sucessfully
A month later I installed a new water filter and a week later the Ice maker stopped working but the in door water still worked.
I reset the maker and it filled most of the of the ice slots but did not release the ice until a few days later.
I removed the water filter and reset that did not help.
I check the water valve for continuity and it passed.
I removed the ice maker unit from the freezer and let it thaw out for 24 hours. I checked the motor for continuity, all the connections and the reset circuit board for damage. It all look fine so I reinstalled it.
I then checked for a frozen water line, it appeared fine.
While checking the water line I left the door open for several minutes and then a few ice cubes popped out of the maker.
That leads me to believe the ice melted slightly with the door open and that the warmer on the maker is faulty or not getting power.
Additionally after another reset the unit filled only two ice slots those two slots still have frozen cubes.
Does this mean the unit is broken,some sensor is malfunctioning, it is just not getting proper power from a board.
It seems like it is not getting enough water and the heating unit is not melting the ices so it can release
How do I figure out where the problem is and how do I fix it?
