Model Number: JP930
Brand: GE
Age: 6-10 years
I have an older JP930 GE cooktop with a 9/6" burner at 2500 watts. It literally takes forever to boil a large pot of water and considering replacing the element with a higher wattage (3100w) element. Looks like the same configuration for the element as my old one but more powerful to boil water faster. Any reason NOT to do this? Of course, GE states it is never recommended to modify their stuff, but I don't see a mechanical reason preventing me from doing it.
Thoughts?
