Turn on the dryer and set the cycle to normal, and push start. it will start and stop after 3 seconds starts back up after 1 min does this for a couple of cycles and then completely shuts off. Any thoughts, it does start to count down, but shuts off.

First check the power supply at the outlet and at the terminal block where the power cord attaches to the dryer. If the power supply is good it could be a bad motor or main control board. You would need to test to see if power is being sent to the motor when it stops running to see which part is bad. Let us know what you find.
