Brand new Frigidaire freezer temp goes up and down, fridge temp steady.

    Model Number: FFET1022QB
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: Less than 1 year

New unit, freezer temp goes down to -20 then rises to 25 just to go back down and then up again. After 7 service calls and over $200 worth of parts Frigidaire agreed to replace the unit because nobody could figure out what was wrong.
The problem? The replacement fridge is doing exactly the same thing against all odds. So is this a problem with the fridge or could it be a power problem in my home (a 50 year old mobile home)?

What are you using to measure the temperature?

I originally was using just a regular outdoor thermometer but bought a couple of refrigerator thermometers and they were only a few degrees apart. The tech who was here 7 times never questioned the validity of either of them so that's all I can tell you. My mini Frigidaire holds to a steady 0 using the same thermometers.
One thing I am sure of though: they can't figure out what's wrong and there's no way Frigidaire will replace the unit a second time.

Check that the wall receptacle is properly grounded.

You could try an appliance surge protector.
They are available at Home Depot etc.
A 1000 joule unit is recommended but a 750 joule will do in a pinch
