I have replaced the ice maker 2 times and it still does the same thing, after a reset it will dump ice 1 maybe 2 times then just stop, it will fill the ice tray with water. I am thinking that air is not blowing into the ice maker area in the door.
any suggestions?
I have an update, I removed the back cover in the freezer and it was all clear, no built up ice. I also took the cover off the back of the fridge and cleaned off the condenser coils. The small fan that blows air to the ice maker compartment is turning but not real fast. I took a hair dryer and blew warm air from the ice maker vent down to the fan but no water trickled out so I figure its clear. Now that the weather has turned cooler and the temps inside the kitchen are below 68 at night it will make ice few times during the night.
my question is much air should be coming out of the vent that pushes air from the freezer to the ice maker compartment? It seems very low to me.
