    Kenmore Gas Dryer Not Heating

    Model Number: 11070622991
    Brand: Sears Kenmore
    Age: 6-10 years

    Please help.
My 10 year old gas dryer won't heat.
I removed a 1-inch-square little plastic piece (on the left-hand bottom front corner) so I could watch the flame ignite.
It seems to ignite the gas for a few minutes at the beginning of the cycle. Then the igniter glows for a few seconds, and then shuts down... No flame. It just keeps on doing this.
What do I need to replace to make this work properly?

Gas coil failure is a common problem. Here are the parts you will need to make the repair.
    Gas Valve Coil Set - Part # PD00002350 (mfg # 279834)

Also, make sure the 4-inch venting from the back of the dryer to the outside is 100% clean for maximum air flow.
Good luck, and have a great weekend!
