Profile electric glass cook top failure

    Model Number:
    Brand: Brand
    Age: Less than 1 year

    Model Number: P P945S M2SS
    Brand: GE
    Age: More than 10 years

A home I purchased has a dated GE Profile electric cook top which worked flawlessly up until yesterday at which point it completely failed. No lights, no activation sounds, basically as though it was 'unplugged'.

Checked the breakers and nada. Looked and found no loose wires, all connections appeared to have been professionally installed, whenever that might have been.

I searched various trouble shooting links/articles and have not yet found anything relating to complete failure, so hoping some kind soul on this forum can offer something aside from total replacement.

    Thanks in advance!

Here are a couple links to tech info on the unit.

If you just looked at the breakers then that is not good enough.
Breakers can trip without actually indicating that they are off.
Try flipping the breakers off for a minute or so.

If that does nothing then you will have to check the power at the unit with a meter.
