    Please help to fix electric fridgedaire gallery stove

    Model Number: FGEF3042KFG
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 6-10 years

    My electric stove works on stovetop, clock and digital temperature setting works, oven does not heat at setting I put it on, so does not cook correctly, how can I figure out what is wrong please???

    Since the stove top works OK the power should be OK.


    First unplug or shut the power off to the unit for a few minutes to see if the conntrol board will reset.

    Next check the oven sensos.
    It should be about 1100 ohms at room temperature.

    If OK remove the back and check that the wiring to/from the control board is OK.

    If both the above are OK odds are high that the control board is shot.

    Be sure to unplug the unit when working on it.

    I am assuming that the oven has no heat.

    If it has some heat then it could be a bad bake or broil element.
    Note the unit uses both elements during prehewat and bake functions.
