My dryer keeps blowing the thermal fuse and I'm kind of at a loss. A few weeks ago I:

-Cleaned the inside of the dryer ducts (took it all apart to ensure I got it all)
-Cleaned the dryer duct run to the outside, its a bit of a long run but it's worked fine for 20 years and is clean.
-Cleaned the lint trap screen in the dryer to make sure it's flowing air.
-Replaced the thermal fuse.

It ran for about two weeks with probably a dozen or so loads through it and then blew the fuse again today.

So today, with information I've found elsewhere in this forum I:

-Performed an ohm check and and inspection on the heater element. 10 ohms reading and not breaks or cracked insulators. It is original to the dryer but appears to be fine. Not shorted to the metal case.
-Ran the dryer with the thermal cut out bypassed (since it blew again today) and measured outlet temp with no clothes in the dryer and temp setting on high, outlet temp cycles between 130F and 160F, with the dryer venting in the open room.

Is it possible the Thermister is intermittently not regulating the temperature causing the element to overheat fuse to blow?

Any help is appreciated.
