Frigidaire oven not working but everything else works

    Model Number: PLES389ACA
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: More than 10 years

My almost 11 year old Frigidaire over will not warm up. Everything else works fine. The broiler works. The lower heating element seems to have broken into pieces after cleaning it. Can I repair this myself?

Below is info on this unit

Yes you can fix it yourself depending on your DIY skills.

Note When working on this unit always unplug or remove power from it. One side of the oven elements is always connected to power.

It could be that just the element has blown but the control board/timer may also be bad.
Try using the oven in Broil mode.
If the broil element heats up then the control board may be OK.
If broil does not work then the timer is probably shot.

The control board is expensive and may be obsolete.

Thank you. Part looks quite inexpensive so worth a DIY try.
