We have been getting water under the deli drawer that freezes. We continually remove it but would like to fix the problem finally! Everything else works fine. Thank you in advance or your help!

the problem is that the drain line that is located behind the back panel in your refrigerator is frozen and not draining. Poor design by ge. You have to empty the refrigerator and wait a couple hours to thaw out completely while unplugged. remove all the shelves in the refrigerator part. get a phillips screw driver and remove the screws that hold the plastic back plate in the center inside of the refrigerator. there is one screw that is hidden on the top of the white metal holding bar at the top under a plastic cap that slides out. once all the screws are out pull on that cover and it should slide out. connected are two plugs at the top left disconnect them and pull the panel out. you will see a drain at the bottom of the condenser fins. that is what plugs up. run a cup of boiling water in that hole and make sure is drains to the bottom of the refrigerator pan. Now is the fix. get a 2 foot piece of 14 gauge copper wire that is bare. locate the black bar that runs around the condenser and that is what heats up in the thawing mode. poke one end of the copper wire into the hole about 5 inches now wrap the wire tight around the black heat wire 3 times and leave 5 inches on the other end to poke down into the hole again. Two wire heat leads will now stay in the hole and it will never freeze up again. Put back panel back in and problem is fixed forever.
