Washer Dryer Combo, Washer will not spin.

Hello, whichever setting the washer is in it will not spin. The drum fills up with water and then goes through the whole process of the cycle but it just doesn't spin.

This repair sounds like it may need a new belt or tension switch??
So long as it does not sound like metal scratching on metal or grinding then you are good to go and your washer and dryer are both worth repairing.

You might want to check the direct drive motor coupling (in case of top load washers), or you may have a problem with the the door lock, wax motor, lid switch, clutch assembly, drive belt or spin belt. Best to get a professional appliance repair guy to take a look.
