Jenn Air D156B oven does not function

    Model Number: D156B
    Brand: Jenn-Air
    Age: More than 10 years

The oven in all three modes, bake/convection and broil will not heat the elements. The control panel indicates that it will start normally (ex. the fan starts in convection mode) and then in 5 seconds the control panel just goes back to no mode chosen,,,,, and no heat to the elements. The top burners and control panel are all functional (timer) otherwise. A big thank you for your assistance Alan
PS I did try a new temperature probe without any change.....

I cannot find much info on this unit.
Below is a link that has some info on it.
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...kozZ1AzbDFtZ1E
    See 16000446 Jenn-...
The wiring diagrams are on pages 4-5 to 4-7.

Since you are getting no heat at all from the oven elements and I assumethat the stove top works OK, it could be that the Hi-limit Switch (thermal cutout is open.

A big thank you for the diagrams. Indeed the top is functional however on the 156 unit page 4-9 there is no hi-limit switch that I can identify.....Alan

It is just below the bake and broil elements.

Note that these are usually mounted on the outside top of the oven cavity.
Same area as the oven door lock.

Check a parts breakdown to confirm this.

    Denman,

Again a big thank you...I went thought the parts , elements to high/low switch/thermaster which all checked out to find that the control unit, part number Y04100262 is probably the problem . Any thoughts on how to find one at a reasonable price ? (As a note the Whirlpool # is FIX1754943) They plan on a remodel shortly so this is a short term fix.

I could find nothing on the part number you gave.

There are companies out there that repair appliance timers, just Google timer repair.

Since a remodel is in the nears future why not buy a replacement stove now.
