    Kitchenaid Dishwasher not cleaning correctly

    Model Number: KUDS01FLSS6
    Brand: KitchenAid
    Age: 6-10 years

My Kitchenaid dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes, like not at all.
    (The spray arm barely moves.)
We had a service company out a couple years ago, and the repairman
said he "cleaned it". He showed me how to clean it, if it happened again,
    but I cannot remember.
Can you tell me the right way to do this, and do I need to replace any
parts that can prevent this from happening?
    Thanks!

OK, Here we go. First you want to make sure your dishwasher is filling with water properly. (I.E. Is it filling enough?) Now, Here's the tools you will need: **Torx Screwdriver with multiple bits **Work Light **Shop Vac First disconnect the power to the machine: 1. Remove the spray arm 2. Remove the 4 Torx screws that hold the pump accumulator and remove it as well 3. Remove the inlet protector cover (held by Torx screws) 4. Use the Shop Vac to clean it out 5. Inspect the chopper assembly. If it is clogged, clean it, or if it is defective (i. e. the blades are broken or the 4 splines on the back of it are broken), replace the chopper assembly (Part # 8268383).

    6. Reassemble and test your work
    7. If the problem still exists, you will need a new pump motor
    (Part # W10239405) Have a great day!
