Samsung dryer steam sanitize function not working

    Model Number: Dv45k6500gv
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: Less than 1 year

Recently purchased this gas dryer from best buy and had them install it. I tried using the steam sanitize function for the first time when I start it timer says 1:10 after about a minute or 2 the dryer timer changes to 1 minute and then stops. All of the sensor dry functions work properly as well. I did notice that during the wrinkle away setting the dryer starts at 20 minutes runs until 18 and then stops and starts every so often but still finishes the cycle.
Any thoughts as to why the steam sanitize wont run through?

Did you run more than one cycle and got the same results?
I'm impressed by these home golf simulators because they work so well.

Yes I've tried running the steam sterilize function over a dozen times now and everytime it does the same thing.

Are you running the dryer with a load of clothes in it? What you described with how dryers act when they don't sense any moisture in the clothes, so the dryer advances the time of the dryer and ends the cycle.

Not with clothes no, I had a couple small stuffed animals in the dryer. I may have been told wrong information from the sales rep at best buy but was told I could use the steam sterilaize for items (stuffed animals, pillows) Are the items suppose to be wet first?

Yes, they would need to be wet and there would need to be a large enough load in the dryer that the items are brushing up against the moisture sensor bars next to the lint filter area.
