Samsung dryer squeaking really loud for a few days, heard a clunk now won't run

Dryer was operating fine the last few weeks with the exception of a loud squeaking/chirping sound. Yesterday during a drying cycle it was squeaking then I heard a thud and the dryer stopped. Drum spins by hand, lights are on but when you press the start button nothing happens nor do I hear the motor running......ANY IDEAS would be great.

You will have to open it up and check.

My guess is that the idler wheel was squeaking and finaly seized.
This then broke the belt.

So now the broken belt switch is not activated (open) and stopping the motor from running.

Thanks a lot! Didn't realize there was a switch that would disable the motor from running??? I'm sure that's what it is. I ordered the new idler wheel assembly and belt 2 weeks ago and was putting off installing it. I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend.....Thanks again
