My GE Profile French-door refrigerator (Model # PFSS6PKXBSS) with Samsung ice maker DA97-05422A started making a thumping sound today. The sound is about 1/second. I removed the ice maker and put it in the sink to thaw, and some ice later came out. After I reinstalled the ice maker and pushed the reset button, I could hear water filling the ice maker, but after a few hours the thumping sound began again. The only way I can stop it is to unplug the ice maker's wiring harness. Do I need to replace the ice maker, or is something binding inside it? Also, I've seen that this DA97-05422A ice maker may come with a 10-pin or 12-pin connector; is that true? Mine has a 10-pin connector.
