Samsung dishwasher stops 3 minutes into cycle and flashes either #1 or #5.

This dishwasher has been troublesome for several months and now it stops the cycle 3 minutes in. The time left flashes or the number 1 or 5. No "e" just the number. I can hear a series of 3 clicks from the circuit board in a pattern. Almost like its trying to go to the next step of the cycle but just can't make it happen. I have taken the unit apart and cleaned everything. Please point me in some direction.
