Kitchen aid dishwasher will not drain

    Model Number: KDTE104DBLO
    Brand: Brand KitchenAid
    Age: 6-10 years

How difficult is it to replace a pump?
Our dishwasher washes our dishes but we gave mucky water when cycle has finished

A model number may be helpful.

Has the unit ever worked correctly with the current plumbing set up.

Dishwasher has worked wonderful for years, so that is why I was asking how difficult it is to replace the pump.

We open the washer of clean dishes and find all this muck and wonder if the dishes are really clean. There is not a funky smell, just 1-2 inches of dirty water.

    Model # add=KDTE104DBLO, Kitchen Aid

First clean/check the filters in the unit.

Below is a service manual which I think is a close match to yours when it comes to the pump

Pump here to do with it? Filters huddled inside, and you saw the dirt. Before loading dishes, leftover food on the plate, rinse with water beforehand, and then the dishwasher will work for many more years.
