Samsung Dryer dv45h6300ew/ac heating but clothes are still not dry

    Model Number: dv45h6300ew/ac
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

    Hi Everyone,

Need your help to diagnose the dryer. I have this Samsung Front Load dv45h6300ew/ac dryer. Dryer runs for 1 hr and heats well too but the clothes are not dried properly.

Sometimes it gives the sign of Duct Vent needs cleaning, but when I see the duct vent going out of dryer to the wall, it looks clean.

A Day before it was not even running for 1 hr and had to set 30 minutes cycle and came to know the problem was with Sensors. I cleaned the Sensors and then it ran for 1 hr but still not drying the clothes well enough. Its also not overloaded.

The dryer vent(Aluminium one attached to back of dryer) would be like 2 ft long and has a bit of turn before it goes to wall.

To eliminate the vent as a possible cause:

Unplug the unit and disconnect it from the vent system.
    Now try a run.
If it now dries OK odds are the vent system needs checking/cleaning.
Be sure to check that the louvers on the outside of the house open correctly.

If you do not want any lint in the house.
    Take a pair of pantyhose.
Put one leg into the other and then attach this to the dryer's vent.
Leave enough room so the pantyhose can balloon out like a windsock.

Both the above will let you check the temperature and the air flow.

Note: The above is not recommended for gas dryers due to carbon monoxide concerns.
