Oven Temperature Sensor test F3 error

    Model Number:
    Brand: Brand
    Age: Less than 1 year

    Model Number: jgbp79wew1ww
    Brand: Brand
    Age: More than 10 years

I am getting an F3 error on my GE Profile oven. I tested the temperature sensor as shown in the video on this site and got no reading (no resistance.) I ordered a new one and it didn't fix the error.

I tested the new one and it and shows no resistance as well. Could it be that this model sensor should be tested differently?

Is there another part that could be the problem?

    Thanks for any help.

As far as I know the sensor should measure about 1100 ohms at room temperature.
Double check that your meter is on the correct scale must be on the 2K or higher scale.
Short your meter leads together just to check that the meter is working.

I am assuming that you are measuring the sensor at the sensor plug and not at the control board.
There is always a possibility that you received a defective replacement sensor.
