    Post Washer wont spin out

    Model Number: gltf2940esi
    Brand: Frigidaire
    Age: 6-10 years

    Hello i used your earlier posts to identify my E47 error cose and test the door latch motor wich tested 1800 ohms and from reading further it looks like I need to replace a control board can you please confirm wich control board I need.

    Before replacing the control board, I would make another check. Sometimes the PTC will ohm out okay, but it will fail under load (ie: when the washer is trying to spin). One test that you can do is to put the washer into a spin cycle in the diagnostic mode. Grab the service sheet under the top cover of the washer, it should have instructions on how to do this. If it will spin in diagnostic mode, but not in a normal cycle then that should indicate that the door latch is bad. Let me know what you find.

    Hi Doc Ryan

    When i retest the door switch with my digitatl ohms meter the number displayed is 1.88 is that considered 1880? or is that a faulty switch thanks

    You might not have your ohm meter set to the correct setting. Try reading the ohm value when it's set to the 2k or 20k setting.
