GE ice maker will not work

I have reset the ice maker and it goes through the cycle. It appears to not be getting water. I am getting water in the door dispenser, can the water pump be out if water is getting to the door and not the ice maker? I even poured water in the tray and it made ice.... it just won't fill on its own. Any suggestions as to what could be wrong. Thank you in advance for your help. I also turned the temp up just in case there was ice frozen in the tube

There is no water pump in the fridge. The house water pressure forces the water to the ice maker through a water valve/solenoid.

See the sticky at the start of this section on how to check the valve.

Could be a bad valve, bad control board or bad ice maker.
