    Samsung dryer not heating

    Model Number: dv218aeb/xaa
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 6-10 years

    Hello all.

I am new to this forum and appreciate any help you can give me. I repaired the dryer about a year ago by replacing the thermistor. I received an OD code after the dryer ran over long and I realized I wasn't receiving heat. The OD code led me to check the Moisture sensor bar. The wire had worked loose from the moisture sensor bar so I fixed buttoned up but still found no heat and received OD code due to taking too long to dry. I replaced the element and other things in heater repair kit because I had the replacement parts. They all tested fine with my ohmmeter. I watched a video that showed how to test the relay and thermistor from the board and tested both. I am receiving the same voltage out as in with the dryer running. The points read 24k which is what was expected. What else could be the problem? I have even removed the hose connection in the back and tried running it to ensure it wasn't an issue with clogged hose to the outside and didn't get any heat.

I do not understand what you mean.
If this does not mean that you checked the votage to and at the unit I would do that.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Check the voltage at the wall receptacle
    L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
    If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
    If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Do this with the heater off and on.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!

Again I am not sure about this.
If you are referring to the thermistor resistance then it seems high to me.
Although I do not have tech info on this unit most Samsung dryer thermistors should read about 10.000 ohms at room temperature.
