The actual measured temperature of our Samsung range is quite different than the set temperature. At a setting of 400 I get a measurement of about 360 and this is after I have maximized the user calibration setting.
I had to replace the igniter within the last year. I've checked the resistance of the temperature sensor (thermistor) and it seems to be well within tolerance. At this point I'm thinking its the control board but thought I would check before ordering one. My wife just wants to replace the range but I think spending a couple of hundred to replace the control board is much better than a grand for a new one.
The cooktop works perfectly.
