Dryer stopped drying no heat. Element and fuses are good. No lint in tube. Has good air flow. Don’t know what else it could be or check

The first thing to check is the power.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly, sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
If this does nothing, check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
Check the power at the terminal strip.
Be careful as 240 volts is lethal !!!
I tried what you suggested and 1 leg wasn’t ready anything. The outlet checked out ok. I replaced the cord and it’s working. Thanks for the info. It saved us a lot of money as we were getting ready to buy a new dryer
You are welcome.
And thank you for getting back to us. Now when someone searches for the same problem they will see what actually worked and not just suggestions.
I have same issue. When jumping black and blue wires relay wires on the control board, the dryer heats up quickly. When the wires are not jumped - no heat. I don't see any obvious issues on the control board and all the wires look new with no indications of any wear or anything. This dryer actually replaced a working dryer. So I assume no power issues with the house. I'm just trying to get this dryer to work. I was given this dryer to fix, and I'm coming up empty. All the sensors tested within specifications as well as the element. Any idea why the jumped wires make it work???? And how do I make it work all the time, because I'm sure it's probably not safe to keep them jumped?
