Thread: Radiant flame sensor test

    Question Radiant flame sensor test

    Model Number: Na
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 1-5 years

    https://www.partselect.com/PS1174142...ame-Sensor.htm

Troubleshooting guidance for this product indicates resistance across the terminals should not be infinity or zero. Mine shows 3 ohms but when the removed unit is metered on ohms and flame from a propane candle lighter is held near the glass face of the sensor, resistance does not change. On a voltage scale (DVM) there is no voltage present under the same conditions.

Has anyone ever done a dynamic test of this sensor like I did and what was learned?

    Thanks
