Model Number: dpsb620gc1ww
Brand: GE
Age: 6-10 years

Our GE Profile dpsb620gc1ww gas dryer stopped doing anything (switched off mid-cycle; completely dead when I pushed the power button, but the light came on when I opened the door). I tested everything I could find to test and eventually settled on the control board. I got a used one and the dryer does indeed turn on now, so I think that was it. However, while the power button works, most of the others don't. I think the board I got came out of the washer model that goes with the dryer. It has an identical serial number and looks identical; I assumed they were interchangeable? What I see on various forums now is that the board has to be programmed? I found this great step-by-step process on partsdr for doing that for a different model -- https://partsdr.com/blog/category/dryer/ ; does anyone out there know how to do this for my model? I am very much a novice and feel pretty far out of my depth here; all help appreciated.
