DIY Dishwasher repair - advice

I have a
Currys Essentials CDWTT11 Tabletop dishwasher. Which has recently stopped working, or rather works very intermittently. The error symbol (flashing 3 in 1 light) indicates that the problem is with the flow meter. The dishwasher was fairly cheap and a gift, so I don't really think it is worth calling someone out to fix it.
I can get the part that is broken for around $34. Can anyone advise how easy it would be to repair or how to fix it?
