I have a Thermador VTR1400Q external blower for my range hood. It is making a clattering noise on low speed, due to the impeller hitting the housing. The unit is mounted on a sloped roof and the motor is visibly off-center in its mounting.

My theory is that the motor mounts (rubber) have sagged over the years. New mounts are available (Part 00414715) but I cannot figure out how to open the unit to get at them.

You can unscrew the top from the base with sheet metal screws, (the motor is mounted to the top) but the wiring to the motor threads through assorted grommets. I might be able to pull them out, and thus get access to replace the motor mounts, but how do I reassemble it?
