    Hi everyone,

Can anyone help me? I have a whirlpool dryer (WED9050XW1). It always worked flawlessly, and I just put in a new load of laundry and it started to make this crazy loud squicky noise. Does anyone know where this comes from?

I recorded it by video. Better don't use headphones and lower the volume, I find it really loud and squicky!!

Does anyone know which component could cause it? Could I repair it on my own? Not left-handed, but not a specialist of course, so could I repair it on my own?

    Thanks for your help!

Check the front and back of the drum seals with your fingers.
Be careful in case the something is sharp.
Bra wires are notorious at getting stuck between the felt seals and the drum.

Unfortunately nothing, nothing is stuck there. It seems like the sound comes from the bottom left. Is there anything, like a wheel or engine, that could cause that?

Here is a link to a tech sheet that may be useful to you.

Unfortunately I cannot find a service manual.

Yes it could be something in the blower also there are drum support wheels on the front of this unit.

Often it id difficult to determine exactly where a noise is coming from in a dryer so other things that can cause a noise are the motor itself or the belt idler wheel.
