I have an Amana Gas Dryer with new idler wheel and arm, belt, rollers, front plastic bushings the drum sits on. This dryer sat for 10 years in my basement, I decided to use it again. It starts and runs but when starting and running for about 5 minutes it make a very loud noise then the noise stops and dryer works fine. I am thinking motor bearings, once it gets going it gets oil. How do I remove the end caps inside the rubber motor mounts and oil the felt? How are the motor halves seperated? Why is epoxy used? Could the start switch need oil? I don't remember this noise 10 years ago maybe rust? Please advise. The motor is WP2200376.
