How to I remove the pump to clean it for clogs or simply to replace it?

    Model Number: Maytag 3000
    Brand: Maytag
    Age: 1-5 years

My washer is not draining. It displays the F 21 code which says that there is a clog in the drain. I have removed and checked the hoses. They are clear. It says to check the pump for clogs. I am unable to remove either the pump cover or the pump itself. There are brads or set screws in the bottom of it that I can't get to.

Could you double check the model number for me so I can help you more, the one you posted isn't a good model number? There is usually a tag when you open the lid with the model and serial number on it.
