What does it do when you put a bigger load in the dryer?

I would pull the dryer apart and inspect the belt, idler pulley, and belt pulley on the motor. I have a feeling that the belt pulley on the motor might be stripped. If this is the case, you have to replace the whole motor because they do not sell the pulley separately from the motor. Let me know what you find.

This is the motor for your dryer:

I just replaced the belt, took the idler pulley off and cleaned it up. It looked alright. How will I be able to tell if the pulley is stripped?

It depends on how badly stripped out the pulley is on the motor. If it is stripped out really badly it will just loosely sit on the motor shaft. But sometimes when they are partially stripped out it can be hard to tell.

Haven't got a chance to look at it yet, but it seems to be working better. The only time it acts up is if we put a big load of jeans in it. If we take some of them out it works fine. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for your help.
