dryer will not heat again after first warm up

am trying to fix this model dryer. the dryer will not relight after the first warm up. i think it may be the coils. can anyone explain how to determine which parts are bad and how to do the tests? thank you

Remove the small cover on the front bottom left side of the dryer. This will allow you to see what is going on with the dryer. When gas coils go bad, they will usually work for a short period of time (5-20 minutes) before failing. Sometimes it is easier to get them to fail when there are some wet clothes in the dryer. So throw some things in the dryer and watch the dryer cycle. What you will see when the gas coils are bad is the flame will come on and work for a short period of time and then when it goes to ignite the gas again you will see the ignitor glow but then it will click and shut off instead of the flame coming on. That's when you know the gas coils are bad. There is no easy way to test them.
