Help with Replacing Samsung Control Panel Assembly

    Model Number:
    Brand: Brand
    Age: Less than 1 year

    Model Number: NX58R5601SG
    Brand: Samsung
    Age: 1-5 years

I purchased part # DG94-00543E for my Samsung range (model NX58R5601SG). Picture attached for reference. Ours was all scratched from the previous homeowner. The part is called a control panel assembly, however, it’s just the front plate-like part with the logo on it that goes over/around the touch pad. It doesn’t have any electrical components to it. I thought the part was just going to swap out easily. I assumed I would unscrew the existing front panel, and screw the new one on in its place, but it seems like there is more to it, as it isn’t coming off when I remove the screws. Looks like I may need to take off the back plate to expose the electrical parts to remove it and maybe even unhook them? Has anyone replaced this piece before? Any help would be appreciated.
